Every now and again something really sweeps the public consciousness like Tiger King, Stranger Things, the Mandalorian, but these are pretty rare and really only applies for the first season.

I don't mind because I didn't like Friends or The Simpsons so the cultural juggernaut just left me feeling like an outsider. I'm ready for the style of reference humor to fade and I think as our pop-culture gets more fractured it'll have to.
