Not sure if it's a superstition, but I don't like to talk about something good that might happen until it's an actual, real thing.

I didn't tell anyone exSO and i were househunting until I had the actual front door key in my hand and we were moving in, because it just seemed to invite bad energy to mention it.

Yup!

I think (at least in my culture) it's also associated with people giving the evil eye about it. So you don't talk about the good things until they're there lol.

I 100% do this as well, even if something I nearly confirmed I won't talk about it unless I have everything in my hands(literally or figuratively) and it's a 300% done deal, and for the same reasons as to not 'jinx' it.
