A bunch of my mutuals are big into Eddie/Chrissy and woo boy the antis they deal with are unhinged.

Some went as far as photoshopping Grace's tumblr posts to make it look like she was a racist bigot and others still refuse to believe those aren't real posts because they want to make the ship as problematic~ as possible.

This is why I’m afraid to do fandom stuff on tumblr. In other circles I used to be well known (relatively speaking) for a ship with a huge age gap and I do not want to attract the attention of antis. But photoshopping posts like that is vile.

I've dealt with some unbelievably nasty antis for ships I enjoy (including a friend ending a five year friendship over one of them), so I keep my twitter account locked down and block liberally there and on tumblr.

Antis are just so obnoxious, they barely ever create anything for what they like and instead fixate on what they hate.

With so many things (besides just ships) that they consider "problematic" I'm not surprised they don't create much content. They have such a narrow view of what acceptable content is that there's not much left.

From having seen many of these subsets of fans across varying fandoms I honestly think for them the hate *is* their fandom engagement, which is fucking bonkers tbh, but at the same time I'm not gonna tell them what to do so I just block them and leave their to their weird-ass rage-spirals. They're the ones who are emotionally poisoning themselves and will burn out, not my problem honestly.
