(Anonymous) 2022-11-01 12:46 am (UTC)(link)To make an argument for them, I'd wager that the pure fact that any show could include them at all means there must be enough depth and/or filler/care for the characters themselves in order to produce it.
Especially as full seasons are folding after six-ten episodes or so, character episodes are basically nonexistent. So putting in the extra effort to include a Musical episode (which can, and often does, advance both plot- and character development in particular) should technically mean that the same attempt of effort be applied to the characters and their direction even more so than any other episode.
Basically, MUSICAL EPISODES MUST LIVE ON!!!
