I mean, obviously there's a big range that "BDSM stuff" could cover, but if we assume it was limited to roughly human-possible activities due to the real word setting, then it's barely on the scale of deeply weird and fucked up shit i've read/written/cranked off to

although maybe there's something there in the frisson of 'out there' kinky trope stuff happening to what is supposedly a normal-ish guy with like. a day job and tax returns, that makes it hit the hindbrain harder because it feels more out of place and obtrusively? idk
