Same. I wouldn't even have had any interest in watching it if it was found but I find the search for lost media extremely fascinating so finding out that there wasn't any actual lost media here was a bummer.

The premise is very 4channer-esque, but I like weird disturbing nonsense, so I probably would have thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think some fan-adaptations of it exist somewhere, but I haven't seen any in a few years.

Only asking because I've watched movies or shows that reference shows, music, etc. That don't actually exist and it always bums me out.

It's a pretty infamous supposed piece of lost media that turned out to never have existed. I don't remember the exact description but it was supposed to be an anime that involved gore and teenage girls.

I wasn't surprised to learn it was fake, but it was sort of a bummer since I really wanted to watch it if it ever got found.
