Oh dude one of the things I HATE for my ships in canon is for them to become parents during the airing of it, like it actively puts me off because then their story revolves entirely around the child. I do get why as irl parents are mostly focused on their kids, but I do not want to watch that, it's boring as shit to me. Like the rest of the fandom will be like 'omg I want to see them get married and have kids!!' and I'm sat there going 'you are all wrong', the getting married part I won't mind depending on the couple, but the kids part? Not unless it's at the very, VERY end where I don't have to watch more than 5 mins of it.

Yeah. I personally have zero interest in kids and for the most part feel like they really drag things down...there have been very few things where I was okay with there being kids. Like you, I'm okay with marriage depending on the characters/circumstances, but I like my ships because I like *those* specific characters' dynamic, and adding a kid messes with that.

Yeah, like I'm, trying to think of a ship where they have a kid during the canon where I didn't abjectly hate it and all I can come up with is Rick/Evie who still retain their wonderfulness despite the child, if anything it's one of the few instances of parents being about their child that I like because it adds to their already great characters and they aren't flattened to accommodate said child(at least imo). But that's it lmao. I can't think of another ship where I didn't hate it.
