That criticism is very valid though. Especially since compared to black actors, Asian actors of all ethnicities are so incredibly underrepresented in general, and this just gets dialled up to eleven when the setting is the UK where the overrepresentation of black characters compared to the underrepresentation of South Asian or generally Asian characters is just very wrong.

Yeah, that's a 100% valid criticism in the UK where you have such huge Indian and Pakistani populations. A show set in the UK that has black characters but not Indian/Pakistani characters SHOULD raise eyebrows.
