I'm still shocked anyone is giving it a chance.

People seem to really like it so far, and in fairness, Benioff & Weiss have no involvement in it whatsoever

Hard agree.

It's such a mess! This whole season should have been a dove minute prolog for the show they actually wanted to make.

The characters grow up and recast too fast, there's no weight, no scale, no scheming to hold it all together.

Not a fan really.

I'm enjoying it so far.

The second gen characters are the reason I sat up and noticed the show after struggling through the first half (unfortunately not a Matt Smith enjoyer). You think they're one-note? As opposed to what, the spoonful of characterization each one got in F&B? These are not entire POVs like the characters in GoT, I'm honestly amazed by what we got so far.

But I am a Green at this point so idk, maybe from a Black-centric perspective, the kids are kinda boring? There's time though, since some of them have important stuff to do soon.

It should've been as opposed to F&B. At least the book had the excuse of the narrative device being that it's a chronicle of event's long past put together from non-first hand sources. The show-runners had the chance to flesh out the characters, especially with their claim that this is the true story, but they were too busy speed-running though plot points to get to the part of the story they actually want to tell.

I guess they'll get some character development in the next season since they'll have to slow the plot to a crawl to fit a much shorter time period into three seasons. But at this point I'm not interested.
