I think some books are very much "need to read them at the right time of your life" books, emphasis on YOUR LIFE, since it's different for everyone. I was never into the Alice/Wonderland stuff as a kid and tried reading the books as an adult and... I didn't mind them, but I think I would have appreciated them more as a kid.

I still loved them last time I read them, but that's partly because they're full of nostalgia to me. I think I actually like the Dirk Gently novels better.
