Agreed. IMO if he was ever going to be an LI, it should have been when he was introduced in DA2. There wouldn't have been much to do for the writers to have made him into a (refreshingly low drama) love interest for Hawke. But at this point trying to make him a romance option for the new player characters would not mesh well with his established history or personality and be horribly shoe horned in. Its time to let that particular dream die, DA fans.
