I'd totally watch this. Honestly any Star Trek series that wasn't Starfleet focused would be awesome. Getting more of the wider universe. Totally the kind of thing that I love.

Lower Decks does kind of do this - they're the Second Contact team, where they go back and see how the world they contacted is doing. But yes, I think this would be an awesome idea for a show.

I mean, look, this could be absolutely great, but the hard part of Star Trek is not really the part where you come up with concepts. The hard part (apparently) is making a good TV show that's primarily episodic and that deals heavily in science-fiction concepts while letting the in-universe lore take a back seat.

Anything which makes the mil-fic fans squeal in outrage would be good for me, especially one which says that just because something makes it easier for the military doesn't make it right. I feel that is a very important lesson that the American public needs to learn right now.

Chris Pine is my favorite, even if his movies are hit or miss. But I'm enjoying this one too. I like all three really, except that Shatner is an ass in real life and it kind of ruins a bit of the charm for me.

Not familiar with this game, but that sounds frustrating. I can't stand it when it's one big toss-up in fights. I get that there should be challenges and you should figure out some kind of strategy, but it's annoying to have the difficulty level all over the place. Not even "hey, let's approach this from a different angle because what we usually do doesn't work," I mean "cutting through a bunch of enemies with ease only to be assraped by the boss within 15 seconds, and it's in real time so you don't even have time to assess him, AND it's not a fight you're supposed to lose" or varying difficulty levels of bosses and not for reasons that might tie to the story. Idk, maybe I'm spoiled and miss the days when you just played through a game knowing what to expect, and saved the insane challenge for the hidden boss.

I don't know if "the writer's vision" really holds in a huge team-created game like this? Generally I'm very much for "don't hassle the writers, go write fic" and I still stand by not hassling the writers, but expansions for games where relationships change is very common.
