This is possibly extremely obvious, but have you tried looking at a list of fanfic tropes and asking yourself, "If I were going to write this trope for my OTP, how would I do it?"

That's where a ton of my ideas come from. "If I were going to write Fuck Or Die / Sex Pollen / Body Swap / Only One Bed / Fake Dating / For Science / Jealousy / Accidental Voyeurism / Whatever-other-tropes-you-can-think-of, for [specific ship], how would I do it?"

And like, if you want to get to the smut really quickly with minimal set-up, then just focus on tropes that are catered to that purpose, you know?
