*hugs*

Been there, nonny, and that in-between phase is absolutely horrible. But FWIW, something new always comes along in the end, you just need to get through the emotional burnout and exhaustion first. It sucks beyond measure, and I really feel you, but especially if you were in your old fandom for a long time or were very intensively productive there, sometimes your creativity just needs some time to rest, recuperate, and reset.

The new thing will come. Just give it time, and try and hold on to that. <3

I feel similarly. I haven't felt that intense rush or deep connection and investment for several years now. I miss it too. Sigh.

I don't really interact much as a fan since fandom basically stopped on LiveJournal, and I don't read fic nearly as often as I used to and almost never write it.

I'm writing for the Yuletide fanfic exchange this year for the first time in quite a while and it's been a way of getting back into it.

I hope you find something that sparks that in you again.

I sympathize. I haven't felt it in a while either. I'm not sure if there just isn't new media out there that's grabbing me in that way, or I'm just getting too old to feel it.

Yeah, that sucks.

I go through fandom lulls. I sometimes go for placeholder fandoms while I'm waiting for a new passion - fandoms that I'm interested enough in the characters or story that I will read fic, but that I don't feel inspired enough to create for. Anyway, there's new stuff coming out all the time and there's ongoing stuff that could be new to you, so hopefully something will hook you soon.

Man...I am feeling this, too. And it does suck. And makes me sad.
*sigh*

Yeah feel this too but then again Who Doesn't. Usually this happens to me when life is TOO busy to the point that I can't get invested in anything new because I can't really dive in, and it SUCKS. Best of luck!

I was in one of these from mid-2020 to early-2022 (gee, I wonder what else was going on!) then got into a new fandom and I'm loving it. It will happen eventually, nonnie!

I've only been into three fandoms over literal decades in fandom, and only fell into my third pretty recently, so I feel you. Waiting for a new fandom to grab my attention while my interest in my current one (or the fandom's; I find I need a minimum level of engagement by other fans to really enjoy a fandom) waned, fucking sucks.

There's other stuff I liked in the interim enough to read or write the occasional bit of fic for, but nothing else I was utterly obsessed with. And that's not counting the fiction I love that I don't seek out or make fanworks for at all.

Same tbh. I have my moments, but fandom in general has faded a lot from my life. I still consume media, I just don't have the same creative drive to consume fan content or create it. Many sympathies, it sucks.
