Who's Alan Dale

An Australian character actor, who's been in US TV shows for over a couple of decades now. Often plays a General or a Judge, that kind of character. Law & Order, NCIS, I think he was in 24. I remember him being in "Neighbours" in my childhood, same time Guy Pearce was in it.

I just looked it up and you're right, he's a New Zealander.

So now this secret is kind of hilarious, but I have no idea if the OP knew Alan Dale isn't Australian and is trolling, or if they were just totally wrong and didn't fact check, which would be extremely ironic. lolol.

Guy Pearce is part-New Zealander through his father. Guy was also born in England.

We like to claim Sam Neill too (I mean, if he keeps on telling us we're unAustralian if we don't eat lamb, we should get something in exchange)

Depending on his behaviour, NZ can have Russell Crowe back

We've almost completely disowned Mel Gibson (and he us). US can keep him
