I am tired that all my vents here are taken in a bad faith.
I would say "I dislike mushrooms. I wish to see different vegan options" and there would be comment "you hate mushrooms!! and vegans!!! you bigot". Are we on twitter or something?

Also I do dislike mushrooms and would like more options without them...

I think the context is taking a vent about being taken in bad faith, to also be in bad faith.

I do understand that. I don’t know if the anon I was asking for context from recognizes that they were doing the very thing OP was venting about however. I just wanted to know if there was some actual example that anon had of OP or anyone else “pushing an agenda and getting caught” in a vent thread. Because I personally can’t remember anything like that in recent memory. Some people being judgmental and taking vents in bad faith though, I do remember some examples of that.

I always end up exchanging mushrooms for tomatoes with my friend, actually. :D
But all jokes aside too many vegetarian options contain mushrooms. They are major allergen too.

I hear this. I think we've all had times where we were saying something we perceived to be genuinely harmless and innocuous and yet someone or multiple someones assumed the worst and jumped all over us about it. And most of us have probably also been the person having the knee-jerk negative reaction a time or two, as well.

I do think today is a bad day to make this particular argument, though, given how egregiously inflammatory Secret 6's phrasing was.
