I don't have frost covered trees but I'm definitely enjoying the cooler weather.

My cat. She can tell I'm not feeling well and enjoying having me home extra time this week. She's spent a lot of time the last few days sleeping on top of me or right up against me. Feeling her purring against me makes everything better.

Last night we had snow (snowy rain, really) and it was GORGEOUS and cold and lovely. All gone today, of course.

I enjoyed sleeping my ass off for most of the day today. Actual day off where I actually did nothing but SLEEP and read. Didn't leave the house AT ALL! It was glorious.

Snow on trees is definitely one of them!

Foremost in my mind is the realization yesterday when I had my meeting with the benefits manager that the reason I couldn't find prices for the dental/vision coverage in our benefits handbook was because it's ROLLED INTO MEDICAL. And I will be paying less than 1/3 monthly for more coverage PLUS dental/vision/life/disability than I was paying for less health coverage alone using private insurance. (If not for the ACA helping out, the very basic plan I was on literally cost 4x as much as ALL THIS COVERAGE through my employer.)

Also enjoying little things like... realizing that 5 chapters ago in my WIP I almost tossed out a little detail as unimportant but left it in because hey, realism - and now 5 chapters later I realize that since I left that detail there, I can do something with it.

And looking at the ring I bought myself sitting there on my finger subtly representing one of my favorite ships. And dark chocolate almond milk. And of course, kissing my beautiful little bunnies.

I caught covid and I’ve been recovering and enjoying the time off work (REALLY needed it. I’ve been very run down which I suspect is how I caught it in the first place because I’m usually cautious)

i have the whole week (! WHOLE WEEK !) off bc of accumulated overtime and i so enjoy doing my appointments and stitching and housework without any time constraints.
