Honestly, this makes perfect sense to me. A lot of fandoms for explicitly pornographic media are really not places where I enjoy spending time.

And it also sounds like OP is most interested in the non-pornographic elements of the game, not the porn itself.

It looks like OP didn't realise how porny it was, and after avoiding engaging with their mutuals who were into it for so long they feel like it would be awkward to bring up their enthusiasm with them, but also the other fans seem more into the porn than the plot so they've no obvious circle to squee about it in.

I might check this out - I'm not into risque games, but if it's got a good plot I can be persuaded.
