Eh... I didn't even realize it was a widespread thing at first because the first person I heard use it was using it to refer to a character who... really does live up to the name "blorbo". (I love him. But that ridiculous word fits him. Hahah.)

So I thought it was just a single person's pet name for a particular character until they mentioned "someone else's blorbo" and I was like... wtf that is a terrible pet name for that character so finally googled what on earth it meant, hahah.

The basic idea amuses me but I would never use it for my characters who would otherwise qualify as my "blorbos". Same with "babygirl". ("Pathetic man" is just facts though.)

Ugh, gotta to admit I hate the use of "babygirl," that one just gives me the creeps.

It's what I call my cat so I don't think I could call a person that. But I get how it's creepy too.

Same, I think it's fine for a pet, but for a person it's a bit bleugh.

Especially the character that a lot of people I know use it for. -_- But eh, I'm going to just let them have their fun and assume I don't like it because I'm too old/cynical.

That one "draw your babygirl in this pose" meme on Twitter led to a lot of hilarity in one of my fandoms though since I know enough people that every character is someone's "babygirl" and we wound up discussing why they all wound up crawling around on the floor... XD
