Honestly? Super sad about all of this.

First reason: the Chinese artists I am gonna miss. Second reason: the inspirational fandom quote bot accounts I am gonna miss. Third reason: nowhere else I can follow everything I like from artists to bands to models to fanzines or whatever all in the same place, and not have Facebook tell my RL network which gay piece of media I am currently enjoying. Fourth reason: the mutuals I am gonna miss (we are probably not keeping in contact in other platforms) . Fifth reason: Twitter was the last majorly leftist stronghold in corporate Internet I feel and it's gone for the dumbest reason. Sixth reason: it's been my favorite social media website for the past 15 years (well, Tumblr was my fave for a short while but) even if it's not perfect. Blue Sky is hardly going to be able to fully replace it.

Frankly as much as I am excited because the more huge socmed websites that go down the better since we're all sick with FOMO and stolen data this really wasn't the one I was keeping my hopes up for. If anything I think it's the biggest loss we could have rly.

Now I have to resort to Tumblr and its dumb close-minded culture, or Reddit and its horde of dudebro types so it's really bad. Or you know, make my own website again like it's 2000 and I wanna connect to someone who posted their email on my guestbook

Wait, there are a couple more reasons. Seventh reason: the autistic community now has one more reason to HATE Elon Musk as if the previous ones weren't enough, dude really be fucking us. Eighth reason: no idea where I am supposed to vent and squee from now on. Being a digital hermit on a Twitter account with 30 followers was bad, but being a digital hermit without a Twitter account... maybe it's time to accept that the Internet I grew up on was destroyed by capitalism just like everything else and move on to the next step in my life like jumping off a bridge
