I encountered a similar thing to this with “bad writing”. A couple of years ago that was what people who clearly hated certain shows for personal and biased reasons would use to pretend they had actual criticisms about it. It was just a way to shut down fans of the work, while having a complaint that’s hard to argue. Even if the continual lack of elaboration was telling that they were full of hot air. I don’t think they were actually racist or sexist at all though.
