Why do you have to watch the movie, though? If my housemates are going to watch something that doesn't really interest me, I just tell them no thanks and go do something else. Likewise, if one of them doesn't want to watch something the rest of us do, they're free to skip movie night too. No one gets offended if one of us says "nah that's really not my thing."

I don't understand this concept of forcing someone to watch something they're not interested in.
