One of the reasons I just stick to enjoying the music, K-pop fanmerch will guzzle up your wallet faster than an SUV guzzles gas.

AYRT - it's ridiculous. And I say that as someone who's purhcased a bunch of kpop albums in her life and now stares at them like "...why did I get this many? What's this good for other than collecting dust?"

I'm glad I don't hang out in the fan corners for it tbh because I see second hand sometimes just how much they encourage each other to spend. Like I'll get an album sure if I like the artist, but I'm not going to buy bulk for the collectable cards and shit they put in them. No thanks.

People can spend their money how they like and I don't judge, but I really don't care for the exessive consumerism aspect of K-pop fandoms that's encouraged by the industry.
