Fucking same. In my case, the one thing I know how to do is look put-together physically. So random strangers who know nothing about me probably think I have my shit together really well. But in reality, I'm a 35-year-old asexual virgin who shares a place with her (even less financially stable) parent, can't drive, has no job qualifications, no post-secondary education, and is on government disability for various reasons mostly of the mental health variety.

I mean, I genuinely like sharing a place with my dad; he's my best friend. And if I drove, the grand total of 50K I've managed to save over the last decade would be 0K, so frankly not driving was an A+ life choice on my part. And I'm a virgin entirely and unambiguously by personal choice.

But all the same, I often feel like a hollow person. I do all the basic, moment-to-moment stuff that normal people do, but none of the big stuff that most people build their identities out of.
