So, using your logic, people who buy the DVDs or whatever but never contribute to fandom are worth more as fans than people who d/l shows but keep communities running, write fic, make icons, graphics, and just generally keep up the hype? It feels to me like you're missing the point of what it means to be a fan of something.

I get where you're coming from, but seriously now. Not everyone has money to buy stuff to support the shows they love and sometimes, it's just not worth it at all (if they've butchered a series by censorship or the official releases are ridiculously overpriced, for example.) Using money of all things as the measure of 'a true fan' (damn I hate that phrase) is just tacky.

Also, I don't judge elitist bitches like you, so I wish you wouldn't be so quick to judge all the rest of the fandom either. :/
