My very ignorant perspective assumed that this meant revealing the sexualities of characters who didn’t reveal their sexualities within the story in question.

Maybe? Although in that case, it feels weird to say "people" instead of "characters". And even then, has RTD done that?

I’m curious to know more about this.

I’m a fan of some of his work but don’t know much about him. I also think stans are more of a problem because of the current climate of refusing to separate art from artist and being a fan means agreeing with creator’s personal opinions. It can put fans on the defence so they internalise any criticism and really do go mental defending/obscuring and then starts the whataboutism.

I really would like you to elaborate on this. When was he outing people?

I like some of his works, but I am not a fan. Especially I am not a fan after he brought Tennant into DW again and this costume fiasco. But haters are getting tiresome as much as stans.

I thought It's a Sin was phenomenal. Maybe it is "outdated" in that it is set in the 1980s, but it still feels very true to life and relevant today.
