I had a secret years ago where the post went up when I wasn't able to look at comments until a couple days later, and once I finally did, I came here to find someone else claiming to be the OP (and it wasn't a secret maker situation, I made and submitted it myself) and giving an explanation for the secret that made no sense and was not even close to my actual opinion. It was...bizarre. I sometimes still wonder what their reason for doing that was. Probably just boredom, I guess.

I have, but I thought that was just my usual paranoia. It’s not a cool thing to do to someone. And how would the liar even benefit that much? Maybe AYRT’s right about boredom, I guess. It just doesn’t sound fun to try to claim credit for a secret.
