At least one troll doesn’t make “both sides” look bad. One side is bad, and one troll is bad. Again, it’s transparently disingenuous to try to “both sides are bad” this when you admit that the troll is only one or two people. Not a group equal to transphobes.

I think Case should freeze the threads with actual transphobia first and foremost, but it’s not a bad idea to at least consider freezing the threads where someone is just lightly mentioning HP for example, story or nostalgia reasons from the moment the TERF troll shows up. That hasn’t happened today that I’ve seen though. But it could happen at any moment, where the troll starts lumping in everyone with the actual TERFs just for talking about their past with the franchise.

Yes, I agree, the transphobia should go first.

The troll crying 'TERF' at any mention of Harry Potter should be frozen too, as you said. They hit in the secret post before this one or the one before that I believe, and it alnost detailed a perfectly innocuous conversation about nostalgia.

apparently they're knocking out the servers for rb 1-3 in the new year so i need to hurry up with anything online related

Already can't buy new music in RB2-RB3 through the games. I tried the other night after not having logged in for a few years, was very concerned, and googled for more info - you can apparently only now buy through the online store, and trying to find content that would actually work with RB3 was... not easy.

This saddens me because they FINALLY released some more Muse tracks recently and that's an instabuy for me... but they only work with RB4, which I don't have. On the bright side I can apparently get it for $40 new with some bonus content on the PS4, but I only have a mic that works with either PS3/Wii(/maybe PS4 since it's just USB?), and the rest of my instruments are Wii peripherals. Sigh. I guess I'd been meaning to pick up the rest sometime.

Are they? As of right now, there's one person vaguely defending her. That's hardly a force.

This whole "FS is full of terfs defending JKR" narrative feels like an urban legend. I don't think I've ever seen a thread where transphobes weren't outnumbered by people arguing against them and calling them out.

As someone who's been called a TERF previously around here over literally nothing I truly have no fucking idea where some get that from.

(before anyone asks, the secret about Michiru with a side-note vaguely complaining about Sailor Moon being heteronormative since, uh, the only 2 gay couples - only 1 of which was manga-canon - in a series about "love" with dozens of het couples have one person who's often read by the fandom as being the opposite gender and look like any het shojo couple, not liking the pattern apparently makes me "transphobic" lol)

Frankly, the resident transphobe seems to be a troll who knows how to burn this place.

Don’t start that again. I don’t think you’re a TERF for that, but you were still working on a faulty premise by saying Haruka/Michiru was part of Sailor Moon’s heteronormativity just because Haruka is sometimes described similarly to being genderfluid. No matter what, a lesbian couple isn’t heteronormative, no matter how much they stick to a butch/femme dynamic. And a genderfluid person dating a lesbian or bisexual women would also never be heteronormative. Words have meanings.
