I feel you, OP. Even if problems aren't being solved by having money, I enjoy seeing people not having problems in the first place because they have money.

This has been researched, and up to a certain point, problems *are* solved by having money. It's just that after that, you don't get much happier by having more money. The point that this is varies by location, as you would expect.

Yup. Not all of my problems can be solved with money, but a significant percentage of my problems could be... and with that, a shit ton of stress would be relieved.

Actually now that I think about it I think this is part of why I like Regency romance novels. Most of the women and some of the men stress about having enough money, and in the end everybody has enough money. The books aren’t always about that but so many are.

Not OP
Yes! I tend to stick to one author for a couple months when I get into regency novels and one author's tropes was always one or both families/main characters are struggling financially and by the end of the story, a nice clean solution solves the money woes. Everyone is happy and the new stable is a huge success!!!

That's why I tend to write romance fics/original stories with wealthy people. I know what life is like for the poor/people barely getting by paycheck to paycheck. I don't want my fantasies to be about struggling monetarily. I mean, I also write rags to riches stories and slice of life stories about people not from wealth, don't get me wrong, but those are way rarer than my stories about rich people living their lives and money isn't a problem.
