Kissing scenes in a lot of Asian media are awkward af by western standards tbh. I call it the dead fish kiss, where they awkwardly press their faces together and then just...don't move for 10 seconds.

As for this drama, I gave it a chance, but couldn't get into it. It's beautiful, but the lead actress's dubbed voice was like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I kinda don't mind the 'dead fish' kiss. It's an improvement over tonsil-sucking (with accompanying disgusting wet noises) that's in most Western media.

I’m not particularly fond of either. I don’t want to watch two people eating each other’s faces and but I also want to feel like the people smooching want to be smooching. Somewhere in between would be perfect.

I love a good tonsil-sucking kiss, but the noises...yeah, the noises are terrible and gotta go.

I am forever reminded of the horrible scene in Buffy, 'Restless' episode, when they're all having dreams involving the First Slayer. Willow and Tara making out (off screen), and all we hear are...the NOISES.

I've seen some fairly hot kissing scenes in Kdramas but they do tend to be short and without tonsils and noises. And I like it that way.

I've got mixed feelings about dubbing in general, but didn't like that at all. It would be a lot more bearable if the actress were allowed to just speak in a normal voice.
