This entire situation is not as complicated or one-sided as everyone is making it out to be. They're all entitled, out-of-touch people. Some of whom seem decent enough but are definitely being warped by how much power/wealth they have, and some who are just disgusting selfish assholes who have been enabled and forgiven so long as they toe the family line. It's not a mystery that Harry got his wife and kid out of there when it became clear the firm was going to allow the hate to continue, particularly considering what happened to Diana (and like, they were already going to hate her for being an American actress from a poor family, but they decided to use racist overtones when expressing that hatred because it's Brexit UK and that's low-hanging fruit). It's not a mystery why Megan struggled and is out of touch, because she's a common American turned C-list TV actress who had no idea what she was agreeing to, because Americans don't understand how deeply and entrenched the class system is in the UK or have a sense of what it means to be in the royal family. And it's certainly no mystery why things were a bit more muted and gentle when Queen Elizabeth was largely making the decisions (considering what she learned on how not to handle things with the Diana saga), and why things seem so fractured now because Charles is now making those decisions, and he's known for being a smarmy pimple of a human being.

Like yeah, I'm sure Harry and Megan can be entitled and insufferable. But that can be true and she still could have been treated unfairly, and I really don't care if their whole crime is "being huffy and rich" when Prince Andrew and King Charles are literally right there.

....Charles has only been King for about two months; they 'left the royal family' long before that.

Just sayin'.

and they said when Elizabeth was mostly making the decisions when they first began making noise about leaving the Firm. but Charles has been making most of the decisions for the monarchy for a while now, for many months at least if not the past couple of years. his role was greatly expanded and then his other relatives changed as well, such as yanking Andrew under the rug after his disaster interview and such. him only being king since september does not change his expanded role before that.

*shrug*
If you say so.
Anyway - I've no stake in any of these people's lives, so I honestly don't much care, other than the asshattery over her ethnicity.
