Yeah - she's young, she's sheltered, she's flowery. She talks in a squeaky voice for much of the story.

Eh, I'd say much of the story-arc is about, I dunno, the valour of small, sweet people? She makes a lot of significant decisions throughout the plot and, apart from being kidnapped that one time, never gets railroaded into anything. People will respect *her* choices. They will want to change themselves for *her*. (Yes, yes I know this is a wish fulfilment fantasy.)
