Hey my North American fellows, all y'all ready for this storm?

I hate whenever the news is like, "Everyone in the continental US will be affected by" whatever. Cause what they mean is everyone but the PNW. I live in the valley, so we never get weather and I always get excited and then nothing happens. We're getting a bit of it, but it basically means we're getting down to 18 degrees at the lowest and no snow. Am disappointed.

18* is fun, I'm jealous honestly. We're looking at lows of -40 and I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's drive.

I was already planning to not go to the store until next week because of the holiday rush, and now I am actively wanting to avoid any major roads as well because I know EVERYONE is on them right now, since the people who were done with pre-holiday stuff are now out there doing pre-storm stuff..

(Except that one of my bunnies is sick and I don't know if she's going to make it and the nearest emergency vet that sees rabbits is an hour+ north and no vet in my area or half an hour's drive around can see her until Tuesday... I would brave the roads for her if it was an option but I have nowhere to go. :/)

I'm stuck between the fact that today is a bad day to drive to where I'm going and tomorrow and Friday will be terrible days to drive from where I live. Also, the forecast kept changing so I basically had to change my plans to travel today when I checked the weather late last night. Now my plan is to try to squeek out of town Thursday morning and hope it isn't too bad until I can get west of the falling snow.

I'm stocked up and ready, but I'm suspecting that two of my Christmas presents for my family are not going to arrive in time. Ah well. (I am feeling guilty about the poor delivery drivers who will be out in this storm, though! My presents can wait.)
