The Chinese restaurant we ordered dinner from cancelled our order 15 minutes after it was supposed to be here and without calling to let us know. My mom only noticed because she went to check the status when they hadn't arrived yet.

We found another place, just means we'll be eating way later than planned. And I skipped lunch and only had a tiny breakfast so I could enjoy the food.

chinese restaurants are notoriously overwhelmed on christmas. your order probably slipped through the cracks. sorry though, that does suck!

My first thought was "they probably ran out of food," honestly. I would never try ordering takeout on Christmas or Christmas Eve because I would just assume they would be swamped.
