I also really hate when one thing was different but everything else was the same because, uh, what was the point???

YES I hate this as well. I hate it when there's something substantially different then the fic just follows along with the canon episodes after that. Like, this different thing should have changed SOMETHING.

My current pet peeve is a soulmate AU fic where they go the entire season without realizing it and then fight and separate at the end JUST LIKE THEY DID IN CANON. What was the point of any of that???
