Um, if you were really in the fandom you would know that Hikaru dyed his hair. Sooo....

... that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. Take your twincest doujinshi and gtfo.

Are you the OP? You said you can't tell them apart, but Hikaru dyed his hair a while ago. I don't read yaoi twincests; I just tell it how it is.

I stopped reading somewhere in the fifties, didn't you see above? It was around when they started to differentiate their personalities, but said personalities became seme and uke stereotypes. I stopped paying attention to them because they were just boring harem denizens.

god damn the Ouran manga is terrible

Eh, I read the comments after I make my comment--but if you stopped reading, are you really in the fandom anymore? And weren't they already boring harem denizens?

I don't really know about seme/uke stuff really, I'm not into that--from what I have seen it doesn't seem to fit. Kaoru is a bit more feminine but not really "uke" feminine and Hikaru is just an average guy if a bit overdramatic.

I still consider myself in Black Butler fandom even though I think it's absolutely gone to shit and stopped watching the anime after episode 7. Just because I'm not ZOMG UP-TO-DATE doesn't mean I'm not a fan.

And really, I don't want to read the manga if it's turning into Fruits Basket or Fushigi Yuugi. Ouran sold itself as different from that in the beginning, which is why I got into it in the first place. Now all it is is Fruits Basket without the magic. Haruhi's personality transplant where she's turned into Tohru was the last straw with the manga.

Then it's a difference in how we define "fan" I guess--because I consider someone who regularly follows a show to be a fan of the show. If not, then you "were" a fan before whatever, like I "was" a fan of the FMA manga.

I don't think Haruhi is at all like Tohru, she has showed more of her softer side but she's hardly a "Tohru" type to where she is forcing herself to be happy all the time and support everyone. You really aren't missing much in the manga though, it's always been sort of slightly above mediocre shoujo and I don't judge you if you decided to drop it...I just thought it was weird that a fan wouldn't know that Hikaru dyed his hair but now that I see that you define fan differently it aint that big a deal.
