Perhaps it's the late hour, but I don't comprehend at all how you got that from my comment.

If you're talking about the comment that ended: "ayrt said they didn't care for it and got an essay in response about why the drama was in fact good. That's not the same thing at all."

Well - this is a discussion forum. It is not unreasonable for people to talk about why they like a thing on a discussion forum.

If you're talking about the comment that ended with: "... isn’t wrong in feeling like fans of this pretty popular drama are overly defensive about it."

Well I don't feel that fans of this drama are overly defensive. They've honestly been pretty chill for a while now about the things that other people dislike about it. Because yes, the FL has a grating voice, and that's a reasonable thing to dislike.

And yes, she starts the story very silly. She's a flower fairy - she's supposed to be silly. No fan of the drama disagrees with that. The narrative of the drama doesn't exactly valorise it either - it throws in plenty of contrasts on how a woman can be successful and loved, and the heroine grows as a person by the end, the story is not trying to tell anyone you have to be silly to be happy.

It feels like people keep harping on about these obvious things - and it's likely a different person every time, but that does add up - as if it's some kind of Gotcha. And that does make a person tired.

It feels like people are personally offended that I find worth in something they disliked, and are twisting my words while they're at it.

Which I suppose means I *am* getting defensive. I think mostly I'm just tired.

I'm sorry I didn't express myself well. Thank you for asking me to clarify.
