I desperately want there to be an option to sort by the number of tags. The more tags there are, the more shitty the story is. I have not read a good story that has so many tags.

(I would also like the ability to block authors who put too many tags in their works so their stories always show up no matter what, but that's not really a tag issue. But still, it would help me so much.)

You can! Look up Site Skins - there are tutorials going around for how to block users in them.
