(Anonymous) 2023-01-14 12:14 am (UTC)(link)I love Batman Beyond, but I do hate one of its more enduring legacies as far as characterisation goes and I wish it had been left back in that show. I hate that it has convinced everyone that Bruce is a world class dickhead, yes Bruce/Batman could be a bit stern and standoffish, due to his childhood trauma, and that was a pre-established bit of the character, but making Old Bruce a complete jackass worked in the show not for Batman as an ongoing hero on his own.
