I agree and I was honestly surprised to see some really strongly negative views. I feel like it honors the original movie while being its own great thing.

Too many nerds are ashamed of being nerds, that is what it is. They are incapable of accepting made just to be fun for its own sake, it simply must be worthy of intellectual masturbation or some such nonsense.
