(Anonymous) 2023-01-14 01:38 am (UTC)(link)Not because it was too depressing or too graphic like almost everyone online say, but because it was just like reading a well written tropey hurt/comfort fanfiction.
It's utterly ridiculous and I laughed a little too much in very uncomfortable parts.
I'm now utterly convinced that regularly reading 50.000+ words non-con hurt/comfort whump fics has permanently ruined my ability to enjoy published authors that takes themselves too seriously and I think that's for the best.
B!S: reading/watching some interviews about this book made me dislike the author a lot. She didn't do her research and it shows.
