It's such a bummer because Netflix used to be so damn good. It really was the gold standard for years.

Yep, they've produced some really great, impactful, high-quality TV over the years.

Hell, just the fact that they produced three out of only five or six really good depictions of abortion I've seen on TV over the years made me feel a lot of good will towards them for a long time.

The last couple of years, though, the shine has really been wearing off. They seem to be past their industry-disrupting, risk-taking, making-the-stuff-the-networks-won't era, and into their buzz-and-mediocrity-at-a-high-volume-is-what-swells-the-numbers era. :/
