TW: Inevitable Transphobia in the Comments

I don't know if I'm allowed to write trans characters. I'm nonbianary, FAAB, and I can only have sex when I think of myself with male pronouns, even though I use they/them in everyday life. (I'm mostly asexual though so sex hasn't mattered in a long time but I don't get aroused from reading or writing fic either). But I love writing and reading men with vaginas. This can be solved with A/B/O sometimes and that's fine but I want to write transmen in my fics and I'm afraid I'll get told I'm not supposed to be or that it's fetishizing or something. Maybe it IS fetishizing, I don't know. I just want the 'ussy' without female characters, is that so much to ask?

Bonus Secret: I have an A/B/O Remus/Snape fic where Remus is in werewolf form and I'm scared to publish it because it's a) bestiality and b) I don't want people to think I still support JK Rowling after all her mess. I have one trans friend who told me he won't read Harry Potter at all any more because of her, even fic, so I don't want to be associated with her whole cloth. But it's such a good story ugh...

Write whatever you want and fuck the haters. They can die mad about it.

Write what you want.
Writing only about yours experience is such a bullshit anyway.

I'm not an omegaverse fan, but mood. Please just write what makes you happy.

That sounds smoking hot and I hope you publish it, anon.

As for the rest, I'd say write your heart's desire, and don't worry about it.

Of course it's a fetish. But guess what, it's one of the most popular fetishes of the last years, so you're in the clear. Just be honest about it, unlike the people who keep pretending their pussyboi fetish fic is activism.

Ahahaha aggressive but I agree

I have never seen anyone claim to be doing activism by writing porn of trans male characters. In fact, most of their elaborations for why they do it sound a lot like the secret OP's! The only difference is that they don't say out loud that it might be a fetish. Explaining that you have personal reasons for writing about it, or maybe even throwing in that you want to see people like you *gasp* represented! in media! but you don't, so you're writing it yourself, isn't a pretense of AcTiVisM.

Well that's nice for you if you've never seen it, but I sure have. Esepcially when it comes to untagged trans smut where there were very gloating author's notes about doing it intentionally to ~normalize~ cunts appearing in gay smut and anyone who doesn't like it needs to check their transphobia. And people treating their fetishes as activism isn't new anyway, it's been around for decades, just with different fetishes, from sexualities to things like excusing your feeding/fat fetish as body positivity activism.
And yeah, going on and on about how you wrote your pussyboi PWP smut because you want ~representation~ is dressing your fetish up as activism, wether you like it or not.

+1

I've encountered plenty of pegging fans who insisted that their kink was activism and that they shouldn't have to tag it. Oddly enough, I no longer like that kink nearly as much as I used to.

Which is honestly really shitty because I have trans friends who can get their dysphoria massively set off by things like that if they're not expecting it in a fic.

Yeah, I have to second.
It's nice that people see their bodies in fiction if it's a thing they need.
But I have seen untagged smut. I've seen parts of fandom being so into trans!headcanons that not sharing it was considered transphobic. Also it's especially not activism when real life alive human trans people aren't always happy seeing wild cunts appearing. It can be distressing for some
