8tracks was amazing (and I only used it once or twice because I was way too overwhelmed/excited by the possibility of so many obscure/new songs that I just couldn't, if I make any sense) and it's a real shame it's gone. I still have a track list for my fics, a la LJ fanmixes, complete with album cover art (*cries in old as well*).

I think just having a track list and then posting the Spotify mix at the bottom (or YouTube playlist idk) is good. I'll admit whenever I see a track list chapter at the beginning of a fic, I hesitate on the quality of the fic lol but I'm sure it can be done well.
