It usually doesn't bother me at all, but very occasionally I'll start thinking (without even meaning to) that maybe just maybe a particular celeb is aro/ace. And then when they inevitably get a romantic partner, I feel kind of sad.

The weird thing is, I'm sure there are aro/ace celebs out there. I mean, statistically speaking there's pretty much guaranteed to be a few. But of course most of them can't come out because if they did they would be relegated almost entirely to sexless roles, or, if they're musicians then it would most likely fuck with how people perceived and interacted with their music.

as someone who's aro/ace and happily married... a relationship does not necessarily discount the other, though i understand one is more likely and that it's not really encouraging when you can never know for sure.

Yeah, I thought about sticking in a caveat that the relationship could be platonic anyway, but given the second paragraph about never being able to know, it felt a bit redundant, and also kind of besides the point. For me at least.
