I actually strongly disagree with this.

IMO the reason that people started disliking Chris Pratt is because he got really popular, and specifically got really popular while adopting a screen persona + celebrity image of (basically) smirky alpha-male douchebag. And a lot of people didn't really like that.

There are probably some people who dislike him for political or religious reasons, sure. But I honestly think that, for the most part, all of that stuff is downstream of people deciding they dislike him because they find him annoying. It's just that the style of the times is that, when people find someone annoying, they have to come up with some political, religious or moral reason why that person is actually bad and not merely annoying. So all of that stuff is - IMO - mostly something that people came up with to explain their existing dislike for Pratt, not the actual reason they dislike him.

This would be the reason I don't like him. Admittedly, while Christian myself, I"m not a fan of specifically conservative and/or fundamentalist Christians and I get the impression he's at least probably the former. But I disliked him before I knew anything about his religion.

Most of F!S dislikes him for the religion/church part. Then there are the "I just don't like his face/acting skills" stragglers.
