I enjoy Only Gay For You but only if they're both teenagers and one of them is really melodramatic about it. I blame old Yugioh fanfic, especially Seto/Joey-centric ones, tbh.

I usually hate it when BDSM in fics involves insults and humiliation rather than praise, but I don't mind it with Kylo/Hux (as long as some praise is mixed in there too).

I really only like femsub when it is a F/F pairing.

It is usually a massive squick for me. Except with that pairing, in small doses. Because it feels totally in character that Hux would enjoy doing it and that Kylo would enjoy receiving it. But I do still want praise mixed in there too.

(This also came up my reply to in another recent secret): I only like the tsundere trope when the character is "tsun" most of the time and "dere" occasionally. I love it. It's adorable. The other way around, a nice character who explodes in a rage every so often, I hate and won't watch anything with one as a major character. Interacting with people like that is like stepping through a minefield. I don't want to do it or watch it.

I don't generally like Daddy Kink, but I can occasionally be into it IF the ship has a substantial age-gap and a power differential. If they're basically peers I just can't take it seriously at all.

There are tons of kinks I only like the informal version of. As soon as you bring proper, responsible kink negotiation into it, I’m usually bored. Enthusiastically consensual but very under-negotiated is where it’s at for me, one thousand percent.

If there’s a kink that can be consensual or nonconsensual (eg. Tentacle porn), I usually only like the consensual version.

There are a fair few kinks I only enjoy when they’re M/M*, such as:

- Anything with biological imperatives, because seeing a female character’s autonomy over her own body undermined pretty much always makes me ragey not horny.

- Virgin characters. I absolutely love virgin characters in M/M but there tends to be way too much baggage that comes with it for me when the character is female.

- A lot of forms of dirty talk. Again, too much baggage when it’s a man reveling in how a woman feels like she was “made for him” or how she’ll “take it anywhere, she’s so needy,” or various possessive statements. Even praise kink which I absolutely love in M/M can be a bit of a minefield with F/M, for me, because it can trip over into condescending/infantilizing really easily, and then we’re back to ragey not horny.

*Hypothetically I’d probably be a lot more okay with these kinks in F/F, too. I’ve just never really been into any F/F ships--yet, anyway--so for me it’s kind of moot.

I tend to only like enemies to lovers if it's gay, thanks to the long history of "enemies to lovers" straight romances that are basically just "male lead is a misogynist and the female lead is cold to him because of it"

I don't mind couple with one adult much older than another adult if the couples are gay guys, lesbians or if the woman is older than the guy but I'm not keen on it of the guy is older than the woman.

Mentor/mentee - not teacher/student, but more master/disciple and only ever when the mentee/padawan/disciple is absolutely unhinged or obsessive and pretending not to be. There are a surprising amount of pairings out there that fit the dynamic! But I can't do anything where the mentor initiates, I nope out immediately.
