Which one is she on now?

When people start on that, I usually try to segue into another topic, or I ask, yeah, but then what does knowing change? And jeez, it's kinda cynical, but you can then get into the whole the rich stay rich and (actually great segue) am the poor stay poor and good luck trying to unite people, because they can't even agree on healthcare and unions, so anyway, (insert segue).

OR, ask them about something about a conspiracy you find amusing or interesting (like aliens or cryptids, the fun stuff). Let them carry on. It ask them about weird stuff they can't explain to change the vibe and conversation. Sorry lol. I do enjoy listening to people's conspiracy theories even if I don't agree. Abd i do my best not to outright argue with them, because that's not going to unconvince them of their beliefs (usually). But lock on to something you find true and bring it back. Corporate overlords? Oh yeah, look at Amazon, omg worker's rights?!
