Exactly. Obviously you don't do things that you REALLY hate, but sometimes you suck it up and go to that restaurant you're not crazy about or watch that movie you think is kind of boring because it makes your partner happy, and sometimes they do the same thing for you in return.

Exactly! My husband looooooves a specific restaurant that while nice, isn't my favorite place but he loves it so I happily go with him. And he's not a big fan of dry white wine but he'll drink a glass with me on our patio because I like that. Compromise works.
