How's your Monday going?


I woke up with my first cold of the year. No fever, but it is in my lungs and throat. I can barely talk and haven't been out of bed for more than a few minutes at a time.

I have my first cold in over 3 years. It's just a sore throat and runny nose so I don't think it's covid or anything more serious. At least I hope not. I'm on disability so I'm stuck with the stupidest doctor I've ever met in my life.

Sorry you have one too. I took an at home covid test, and it was negative, and no fever. So pretty sure not COVID. But the sore throat, cough, headache, and achiness and exhaustion isn't fun.

I hope yours goes away quickly.

Work was... kind of exasperating.

Three different people reported to me today that parts of the site had just ... gone missing. The first time we were on a zoom meeting and when she told me what wasn't there, I was like "But I *remember* posting that when you asked me to...?" and she was like "Yeah, I looked and verified it was there after you emailed me back, but now it isn't." So I fixed that for her while we were actually on the zoom call before we got down to business.

Then the other people emailed me while I was in that meeting, so I got out and checked email and went wtf?!

Long story short, the guy we hired a couple months ago has been working on some stuff and not using the current LIVE versions of the files on our server, but versions he saved himself when he first started working on them. -_- He's doing good work on the things he's actually doing, and I told him I do appreciate his work and I'm definitely not mad or anything because these things happen - just in the future, check every time you're going to edit a file to make sure that it's actually the most recent version.

One of our cats passed suddenly today. He was just shy of a year old, still a baby. His sister is now wandering the house calling for him and my heart is breaking. I thought I'd get to see them grow old together. I don't know what to do with myself and I don't know how to make it better for her.

Sorry for the sad. <3

Surprisingly good.
I did two small loads of laundry, washed dishes, but my knees and legs ache from going up and down the stairs and being overweight. Tomorrow I hope I'll be more productive.

My dear friend of 25 years had a hysterectomy and she survived and it seems to gave gone well. She's been very sick for a year so I hope this is the start of her health improving.
